The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has considered incident because they have rules for prohibiting political, religious or racial propaganda.

On the Chinese side, we received clarification information and athletes were warned, Christian Klaue, IOC's Communications and Public Relations Manager, said in the press conference on August 7.

He does not specify whether the IOC has evaluated this behavior that violates their rules or not.

For Olympic Tokyo, IOC relaxed the rule that prohibits political gestures or manifestations, as athletes kneeling to express the spirit of anti-racism before playing.
