Mykolayiv often faces Russian missile raids in recent weeks, when the Russian forces want to find a way to erode the Ukrainian defense system.

A government building in Mykolayiv, Ukraine, was hit by a rocket in March.

The Russian army once declared the goal of controlling the entire Black coast of Ukraine to the Romanian border.

At the beginning of the conflict, Ukrainian forces successfully resisted Russia's efforts to control Mykolayiv, the city near the Black coast between Crimea and Odessa port.

Since then, the Russian army has stopped attacking campaigns into the city, but often conducted rocket raids.

The Russian military has not commented on the allegations of industrial attacks in Mykolayiv, but has repeatedly confirmed not to raid civil goals, but only targeted Ukrainian military facilities.

Currently, the Russian military is focusing on control of Donbass, the central area of the eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine said their forces still controlled two small villages in the Lugansk area, one of the two provinces forming the Donbass region, and was preventing Russia from further into Donetsk.

The Ukrainian military general staff said that the military has blocked the Russian force towards Sloviansk, the important Ukrainian stronghold in Donetsk.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 16 called on the people of Ukraine not to be bewildered in the context of Russia constantly warning about terrible missile attacks.

Obviously no Russian missile or artillery can break our solidarity or make us leave the path towards a democratic, independent Ukraine, he speaks in the speech every night.
