Crimea's leader said the Russian security agency removed the Islamic terrorist group of 6 people, one day after the peninsula occurred a series of explosions.

All of them were arrested.

Aksyonov said six captured were members of the Hizb Ut-Tahrir Islamic Group banned in Russia.

The smoke rises after the explosion in Dzhankoi, Crimea, on August 16.

However, FSB mentioned Dzhankoi and Yalta city are two places where the terrorist group is said to have been disabled.

FSB said this group recruited local Muslims and committed terrorist acts.

Ukraine has not yet commented on information.

However, officials in Kiev assessed that Crimea's raids were captured by the guerrilla forces or due to internal disagreements in the Russian army itself.

The Crimea peninsula borders Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, most of Russia controlled.

Russia merged Crimea into the territory after a 2014 referendum. Kiev did not recognize this and called Crimea the territory occupied.
