Russia has a draft resolution of the Security Council condemning Moscow to merge Ukraine, while China and India voted.

A few hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decision to merge 4 territories of Ukraine on September 30, the US and Albania submitted a draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council, condemning the referendums.

The draft resolution also called on Russia to withdraw its troops immediately from Ukraine, ending the military campaign starting from the end of February.

This is what the Security Council has been created to do, which is to protect sovereignty, territorial integrity, promote peace and security, US Ambassador to United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Meanwhile, Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said that the Security Council considers the resolution to condemn one of the five permanent members, which have the right to veto, which is unprecedented.

Do they really think that Russia will support such a draft resolution?

Russia is the only member of the draft resolution, while China, India, Brazil and Gabon votes.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries need to be protected, Chinese Ambassador Truong Quan spoke after the vote.

The draft resolution is likely to be given before the UN General Assembly, where all members have the right to vote.

British Ambassador Barbara Woodward said that the vote of the Security Council showed that Putin merged Ukraine's territory was unrealistic and not valid.

Council members voted in different ways, but it is clear that no member has recognized Russia's illegal merger efforts.

During the signing ceremony of the merger agreement of 4 Ukraine provinces in Moscow on September 30, President Putin affirmed that millions of people in these localities chose to join Russia, and announced that the country had 4 more provinces based on results.

Western countries have criticized the decision to merge 4 Ukrainian provinces of Putin, calling this illegal act, and calling for countries and international organizations to refuse to recognize Russia's decision.

The fact that Russia merged 4 Ukraine provinces made the war more unpredictable, when Kiev decided to regain his territory, and Moscow threatened to use nuclear weapons.

Despite the hope of negotiating between Russia and Ukraine became more fragile after 7 months of war, the analysts believed that this door was not completely closed.
