Murashov is the main responsible for the factory's radiation and nuclear safety.

Petro Kotin, president of Energoatom, asked the Russian forces to stop performing nuclear terrorist actions related to the factory's staff, and immediately release Murashov and allow him to return to the duty.

Kotin also talked to the General Director of the atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi and the President of the World Nuclear Exploring Association Tom Mitchell, calling for all possible measures to free Murashov.

The Russian force controlled the Zaporizhzhia factory in southern Ukraine since March but the facility was still operated by Ukrainian technical staff.

Many recent shelling occurred around the Zaporizhzhia factory area, raising concerns about the risk of a nuclear incident similar to the chernobyl disaster in 1986. Russia and Ukraine accused each other.

The factory is located in Zaporizhzhia province, which has just been announced by Russia after the referendum held at the end of last month.

Moscow is concerned about the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, but this is also a big risk scenario for Russia itself.

When the IAEA inspectors arrived at the final checkpoint not far from Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the explosive explosions rang out.
