The Russian Ministry of Defense said the two rookies used personal weapons to shoot at the teammates in the unit, killing at least 11 people and 15 injured.

Two rookies were shot down at the scene when the soldiers opened fire.

Oleksiy Arestovych, assistant of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, quoted intelligence sources that two suspects were shooting from Tajikistan.

Location of Belgorod province in western Russia, bordering Ukraine.

The shootings took place a day after President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia had mobilized more than 222,000 reserve soldiers and volunteer soldiers to participate in the military campaign and would end a part of the mobilization in the next two weeks.

This is the second shooting in Russia for more than a month, regarding a partial encouragement command.

The inadequacies in the first phase of executing the encouragement in part have caused a frustration in Russian public opinion, when many people reflect that they were summoned to enlist even though they were eligible for exemption, while some volunteers were not allowed to not be allowed.
