Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, 97, announced that he would re -run for Senator's seat next month, despite health concerns.

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad confirmed he would run for a parliamentary chair representing the Langkawi Island that he was holding.

However, Mr. Mahathir did not say whether he could become a prime minister in the case of his political alliance to win the general election.
