President Zelensky said a train station in the Central provincial province was ambushed, causing at least 22 deaths on Ukraine's independent day.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the assistant of the President of Ukraine, added that Russia has ambushed Chaplyne in two waves, aimed at houses and train stations.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not commented on information.

Chaplyne is a town with a population of nearly 3,700 people, located about 145 km west of Eastern Province.
