Syrian air defense shot down 22 of the 24 missiles due to Israeli fighters in a midnight air strike, according to the Russian army.

General Kulit said Syrian air defense units fired Pantsir-S and Buk-m2 complexes provided by Russia to shoot down 22 missiles among these.

Earlier, the Syrian Sana state news agency reported that the country's air defense units participated in dealing with Israeli air strikes aimed at the outskirts of Damascus and Homs.

Israel hasn't commented on the above information.

Lebanon media reported two missiles falling in Qalamoun, the rugged border area between Syria and Lebanon, but it was unclear they were missiles due to Israeli fighter or non-Syria launcher.

An English-based war supervision organization said Israeli air strikes made four Iranian gunmen died, but unknown these people were Lebanese or Syria citizens.
