The Taliban announced Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund as a new Prime Minister, while other key members were appointed important positions.

The information was given by spokesman Taliban Zabihullah Mujahid in the press conference to announce the first government members at the Government Information Center and Communications in Kabul today.

He worked for 20 years as the head of Rehbari Shura and got a very good reputation, another Taliban leader said, adding that Mullah Hasan was still close to the supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada over the past 20 years.

Mullah Hasan used to take over the important positions in the previous Taliban government in Afghanistan.

The co-founder of Taliban Abdul Ghani Baradar will be the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mullah Yaqub, the son of the Founder of the Taliban and is also the supreme leader Mullah Omar, appointed as the Minister of Defense.

According to Taliban sources, Hibatullah Akhundzada always respects Mullah Yaqoob due to his father's dedication.

Mullah Yaqoob personally commanded the recent military campaign, first to occupy rural areas, including districts, then hit the provinces nationwide.

The position of Interior Minister was awarded to Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Haqqani network leader and also the deputy leader Taliban.

The cabinet is incomplete, it is only an interim government.

Ahmadullah Wasiq, officials of the Taliban Cultural Commission, previously announced on Twitter that they will announce a new government before helping the Official Ceremony.
