The separatist representative in Donetsk province announced that Ureay citizens, accused of being mercenaries, died in prison due to illness and tensions.

Daria Morozova, Inspector of the People's Republic of Donetsk (DPR), said on July 15, said British citizens Paul Urea died in the separatist prison in eastern Ukraine.

Ureay, 45, was alleged by the separatist as a professional mercenary who had been in war in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

Ureay was arrested in April when participating in an attack on a checkpoint of the DPR militia.

DPR officials also said that Urey was in a state of depression because of his indifferent attitude to his fate in England.

She also said that DPR has informed the British government, international organizations and foreign media about Urea's arrest, but did not receive feedback.

His representatives even ignored his ability to negotiate to return him as part of the prison exchange agreement.

He and Ukraine have not commented on this information.
