President Putin on October 10 is expected to preside over a meeting with the security council, two days after the Crimea Bridge explosion.

Tomorrow, the president will have a meeting schedule with the permanent members of the Security Council, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov today announced.

Russian President Putin attended a video conference at Moscow on October 5.

The bridge is nearly 20 km long connecting the two Kerch straits, between Russia's Krasnodar and Crimea peninsula, serious damage after the big explosion at dawn on October 8.

A government committee led by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin was established after the incident.

The Kerch strait bridge was started in 2015, after Russia merged the Crimea peninsula, and completed in 2018. The bridge worth billions of dollars connecting the Crimea peninsula with the Krasnodar region in southwest of Russia.

After opening a military campaign in Ukraine in late February, Russia used this bridge to transport armored vehicles to southern neighboring areas.
