Navtogaz state gas company warned that Ukrainian people were about to go through the coldest winter for decades because of the instability of gas supply.

Yurii Vitrenko, head of Ukrainian state -owned gas company Navtogaz, said on August 28 that the temperature in the home in Ukraine will be placed at 17 and 18 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees lower than normal.

Vitrenko said the heater season, the time when the central heating system starts, will start later and end earlier.

Without the Western support, we will lack gas and have great risks with the electricity supply system, Vitrenko said that NAFTogaz has supported some Ukrainian electric companies with gas in March.
