The US National Security Adviser warned Washington to respond decisively and caused Russia to suffer catastrophic consequences if using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

If Russia crosses that line, there will be catastrophic consequences for them.

Sullivan did not specify how the US would react but said Washington had explained what Moscow was exactly exactly exactly what.

Sullivan's comment was the latest US warning to Russia after President Putin in the speech on September 21 implied that nuclear weapons could only be used if the country's territorial integrity was violated.
